London Film and Comic Con 2011: Preview Night

London Film and Comic Con 2011: Preview Night

I began set-up of my stall at London Film and Comic Con 2011 yesterday (row C and towards the front if you’re thinking of saying hello).

Friday night was preview night and the crowds were already out in force with queues stretched around the block.

I spotted Veronica Cartright from Alien as well as Vivica A Fox (Kill Bill). That FBI agent from Dr Who was also there.

While conventions are usually all work, work work, this one had an added bonus: fulfilling one of those small life-goals of getting to see the 1960’s Batmobile.

It’s a truly awesome piece of design work. Unpractical in it’s length to be of any use to a real crime fighter but bold in its madness in a way that captures your eye and imagination.

Just like comics should be. More from the show as the day progresses.

London Film and Comic Con 2011

Mysterious comic project X has been taking up most of my time this month, but I’ll be making time to exhibit and sell copies of London Horror Comic at the London Film and Comic Con 2011 next week at Earl’s Court.

Do come and say hello if you’re about.

What’s been great about my convention run this year has just been the chance to speak with people who’ve turned out for the day.

Of course, you may want to speak to other guests attending the event including Karen Gillan (Amy Pond In Doctor Who) Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future) Clive Barker (Hellraiser) Lea Thompson (Back to the Future) Robert Knepper (Prison Break, Heroes) Walter Koenig (Star Trek).

So I won’t hold it against you if you don’t.
